Playalinda Beach (Playa Linda – Spanish for “beautiful beach”) is a beach located on Florida’s east coast in Canaveral National Seashore. Playalinda Beach is a National Seashore Beach located on Cape Canaveral, and is most famous for being a “nude beach”, although unless one knows where to find it, the majority of the beach is not “clothing optional”. By tradition, the beach at lot #13 is definitely a nude beach. Lot #13 is the last parking lot on northern Playalinda Beach. You will walk over the bridge then over the dunes and this is the nude beach. At the south end of Canaveral National Seashore, Playalinda Beach is a major destination for beachgoers along the Space Coast. It’s popular because unlike the beaches to its south, it’s both remote and a natural shoreline that stretches on for miles. It’s also the best place in the region to watch rocket launches.
