The U.S. Census Bureau lists it as the Rotonda census-designated place, with a population of 15,600. It is part of the Punta Gorda Metropolitan Statistical Area. Rotonda West is a lovely, established community in the picturesque area known as Cape Haze. Our community is the perfect size to make new friends, get involved in many activities, and enjoy a wide variety of outdoor recreation. The layout of Rotonda West precisely mimics World War II airfields in Florida however there is not an airport at this location.
